The 5 Most Important Pages On Your Website

Let’s face it, we are only human. Too much information is overwhelming, but not enough information leaves us with loads of questions. So when it comes to your website, how do you know what information should be presented right out the gate? Well luckily for you I’m going to tell you! Today I’m sharing with you the 5 most important pages you should have on your website and why.

1| Home Page

The homepage is the first page a visitor lands on when they type in your website address. This page plays such an important part of representing who you are and telling your story. The content you add on the homepage is key to how long a user will stay before they wander off elsewhere. It is also what Google will scheme through to know what your website is all about.

So what do you need to do to ensure you have an engaging homepage:

1. Use headers with keywords

2. Use images that captive and build interest

3. Have a section to display your products or services

4. Have a section that introduces who you are and how you can help your reader

5. Use buttons to help navigating from homepage to other pages on your website

2| About Page

I don’t know about you, but before I pay for a product or service, I want to know the person and brand behind it all. I want to know who they are, what they believe in and what their expertise is in.

A potential client will click on your About page to know who you are. This is your chance to make a connection with them. If you have a story to share, this is the place for it. Share with your reader what makes you unique, why they should trust you and do business with you. How much you are willing to share about yourself is up to you. The intent for this page is to build rapport and trust from your readers towards you and your brand.

3| Contact Page

Let’s say your reader has a question about your product or service and they want to contact you, right? How will they do that? They can do that with a contact page. The Contact page is as important as the above pages we talked about earlier.

On the Contact page, you want to share your phone number and email address. If you have a physical location, share the physical street address as well. If a potential client has a question, that means they have an interest in your business. You want to make the process of reaching out to you as easy as possible.


Make it extremely easy for your potential clients or customers to reach out to you. Give them many ways to reach that Contact page throughout your website. Add Frequently Asked Questions (or FAQ) to this page for questions that you get asked several times.

4| Blog Page

Blogs have come a long way. Questions about whether to have a blog or not are still debated. I’ll leave that one up to you. Why are blogs important? To me, having a blog shows your potential client and reader that you have expertise in a specific area. It shows that you have something valuable to share. It also gives your reader a glimpse to your style and tone. The key to an effective blog is to have great and helpful content.

Another reason why blogs are so important is that it helps with your Google ranking. The more blogs you write and share on social media, the more traffic you’ll bring to your website. If your content is compelling, your readers are going to share it and want more. Guess what, they will come to your site and find out what else you have. This is where you build the Know, Like and Trust factor that everyone talks about. Eventually, these casual readers will become dedicated followers and future clients.


The key to success with blogs is writing and sharing high-quality content that speaks to your audience. You have to be committed and consistent in your delivery.

5| Services or Products Page

Before contacting you, your potential client wants to know what products or services you offer. This is where a products or services page is useful. If you are a service provider, you can list your packages, prices, and details of your service. If you sell products, you can display your products and make them easy to buy.

It’s important to include keywords throughout your website. Being mindful of using keywords will help you rank higher in Google searches. This is often referred to as SEO, Search Engine Optimization. I’ll be writing a blog series on SEO very soon. Keep an eye out for that! For now, know people are searching the web for information. You want those keywords embedded in your website so your site appears on Google’s results.
